Meet the Crew of CRUSADER III
David Clayfield - "CRUSADER III" Skipper.
As a super keen yachtsman since his early teens and a sailmaker by trade, David has accumulated a wealth of experience built on thousands of hours at sea and literally tens of thousands of sea miles under his belt. A diverse range of experiences including Atlantic crossings, charter seasons in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, racing in the Sydney to Hobart race, followed by establishing and running his own business, has built a solid foundation upon which to create and manage a growing fishing charter business. Always a keen fisherman, he considers it a thrill and privilege to expose enthusiastic fisherman to the unique fishing available in the pristine waters off Eyre Peninsula and the West coast.
"Every day is different, it could be the sea, the wind, the weather or the people, no two are the same. I've got a job I love and the best office in the world"
David has been at the helm of WHY NOT Fishing Charters for the past 14 years and looks forward to welcoming guests aboard CRUSADER III and introducing them to some truly memorable fishing excitement.
